One obligation I owe myself as a member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), is to attend its Annual General Conference(AGC) not just this year but in as many years as I remain a bona fide member of NBA.
Attending the AGC on a yearly basis will enable me to meet up with the duty imposed on me as a legal practitioner by virtue of the provision of Rule 11 of the Rules of Professional Conducts for Legal Practitioners (RPC).
The AGC 2017 is the first NBA conference I would be experiencing since my Call to the Nigerian Bar on the 29th of November, 2016. Hence, it will be a great privilege for me to be in attendance. There are also many benefits I stand to enjoy as a young lawyer if I am present at the AGC 2017.
I am being given the opportunity to own a tablet phone with one year full subscription to Law Pavilion. This will in deed enrich me with the materials I need for effective legal practice in Nigeria.
In addition, the conference is presenting a platform for me to build a wide networking relationship in legal practice with my senior colleagues who are more experienced in this profession and from whom I will be able to learn the secrets for success as a practicing Lawyer.
