On Saturday, 11 December 2021, in commemoration of his 40th birthday, Olumide Babalola hosts a webinar titled ““50 years of data protection in Europe: Lessons for Nigeria” under the chairmanship of Mr. Olumide Akpata, President of the NBA. The keynote address will be delivered by Prof. Alex B. Makulilo, a Professor of privacy from the Open University, Tanzania and author of African Data Privacy Laws. The discussants are: Prof. Caroline Ncube, University of Cape Town, Dr Patricia Boshe, Passau University, Germany and Dr. Andrew Iwobi of Swansea University, United Kingdom.
At the same event, a new book authored by Mr. Babalola titled ‘Privacy and data protection law in Nigeria” will be reviewed and presented by Dr. Oladapo Olanipekun, SAN and Mr. Kemi Pinheiro, SAN, the Chairman of Lagos Lagos State Law Reform Commission respectfully.
