Yesterday, His Excellency Senator Douye Diri, Governor of Bayelsa State, ably represented by his Deputy, His Excellency Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo played host to the Governor of Rivers State, Gov. Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, at the Yenagoa Campus of the Nigerian Law School, Agudama-Epie, at the Flag-off/ Foundation Laying Ceremony of 450 Hostel blocks and a 1,500 Seater Auditorium being built by the Rivers State Government.
His Excellency who decried absence of Federal Government presence at the Yenagoa Campus of the Nigerian Law School, commended the Rivers State Government for complementing the efforts of the Bayelsa State Government in providing infrastructures for the institution of Legal Education. While challenging Federal Government to wake up to its responsibilities, he called on other states of the South-South geographical zone to emulate the Rivers State Government.
The foundation laying ceremony was performed by the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister for Justice Abubakar Malami, SAN, represented by the Solicitor General of the Federation and Permanent Secretary Ministry of Justice Mr Dayo Akpata, SAN.
