As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, 4Tune Technologies Limited, a leading indigenous ICT firm has developed a FREE E-court software solutions to support the move towards the full automation of the judicial system and efficient administration of Justice in Nigeria.
4Tune Technology has developed an innovative software which will ease court filings, storage and retrieval processes. One of the numerous features of the software according to the firm is its ability to support litigation in all courts from start to finish. It also has a feature which enables lawyers and law firms to create their own archive in all courts to enable them track all their filings.
DNL Legal & Style spoke with the Software Developer and Team Lead, Mr. Fatai Abiodun who said that developing the software is the firm’s little contribution to the Nigeria judicial system.
“At 4tune Technologies, we decided to make the application FREE of charge so as to remove the stress of litigation and to make justice accessible as they say Justice delayed is justice denied.”
“Also, as a firm, we see this as our own little contribution to complement the existing effort of the stakeholders in the administration of justice”
According to Mr. Abiodun, “the system is designed with the fault-tolerant methodology for digitalization of the litigation processes from start to finish and is configured with an audit trail for system integrity.”
“There is also a platform for lawyers and law firms to have access to the archive of what they have filed in the court in the past for future task and assignment re-usability. We believe that people should not go through the stress of doing what machines can more efficiently and effectively do. This development will make justice delivery faster than expected and this would mean a lot to us as a firm that has interest in the judicial system.”
On how easy it would be for courts and lawyers to have access to and operate the software, Mr. Abiodun said that the application is user friendly and can be used by anyone who can send and receive email.
“What is required is for interested courts to call 08072464004 and the rest would be history. The application has been tested; it’s plug and play.
“We urge stakeholders in the judiciary in all the 36 States and the FCT to key into this and allow the justice sector in all states thrive. The e-court application has been designed using the latest technology framework in line with a global and international best coding standard.”
This innovation could not have come at a better time than now. With the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent lockdown around the world which prompted the Nigeria Judicial system which hitherto was taking baby steps towards technology to plunge into full-fledged ICT in order to drive better and efficient Justice delivery system, a software such as the one introduced by 4Tune Technology is timely and most welcomed.
