DISCLAIMER – PURPORTED MEETING AT THE INSTANCE OF THE NBA: SCAMMERS ON THE PROWL
The leadership of the Nigerian Bar Association (“NBA”) has received various calls inquiring about a certain meeting at the behest of the NBA.
Investigations show that some scammers have been reaching out to Senior members of the legal profession, asking them to be part of a meeting which can only be accessed by giving up a Whatsapp code sent to their phones.
Kindly be informed that any meeting at the behest of the NBA, will be circulated through its official media channels, handles or email and authorised NBA National officials.
Members are advised to be watchful, secure their accounts and be careful about the various means used by scammers to take control of their victims’ communication channels.
