The Nigerian Prison Service Ikoyi Lagos is presently on fire.
An eye witness who sent in a video footage of the fire indicated that there is an attempted jail break which resulted in the fire outbreak.
“There is an attempted jail break currently going on in Ikoyi prisons. Soldiers and the police have flanked them on the four corners but the prison offices are on fire and the wardens have all ran out. As I chat some part of the prison fence has been broken. The only thing is that the police and army are shooting from all sides and that has prevented them from coming out.”
