Oyetola Inaugurates Anti-Women, Children Crime Committee

Osun State Governor, Adeg­boyega Oyetola has inau­gurated anti-women and children management com­mittee to protect against any form of violence across the state.

The committee which is headed by the wife of the governor also has tradition­al ruler, political office hold­ers, market women, civil so­ciety representatives among other.

The members include, Olowu of Kuta, Oba Adekun­le Oyelude Makama (Repre­sentative of traditional rul­ers); Mulikat Abiola Jimoh (House of Assembly); Mrs Bukola Olaboopo (Com­missioner for Women and Children Affairs); DSP Mo­tunrayo Okewole (Represen­tative of the Commissioner of Police); Alhaja Awawu Asindemade (Iyaloja Gen­eral); Alhaji Adeoti Qu­marudeen (Representative of Babaloja); and Mr Femi Ogundun (Ministry of Local Government and Chieftain­cy Affairs);

Others are; Mrs Olapeju Abiola-Laogun (Ministry of Health); Mrs Boade Shani­yi (Ministry of Information and Civic Orientation); Mrs Falimat Sodamade (High Court of Justice); Mrs Idayat Abdulraman Alar­ape (Ministry of Justice); Mrs Oyebola Adeoye (Min­istry of Education) and Mr Diran Fashesin (Represen­tative of the Office of the Governor).

Performing the inaugu­ration of the committee, Governor Oyetola said it was put in place to ensure deserved place for women and children.
