The Lagos state judiciary has announced the commencement of the 2020 annual vacation as follows:

Hon. Justice O. Ogala – Monday, 31st August – Friday, 11th September, 2020
Badagry Division
Hon. Justice S. I Sonaike – Monday 17th – Friday 28th August 2020
Hon. Justice E.O Ogundare – Monday, 31st August – Friday, 11th September, 2020.
Epe Divison
Hon. Justice G. Safari – Monday 17th to Friday 28th August 2020.
Hon. Justice A.J Bashua – Monday 31st August to Friday 11th September, 2020.
Ikorodu Division

Nothwithstanding the long vacation
1. Criminal Division of the High Court may suit throughout the vacation period .
A Judge may be assigned to deal with all Urget pending criminal cases in the court.
2. Any cause or matter may be heard by a judge during the period of the vacation (Except on Sunday or Public Holiday) Where such cause or matter is urgent or a judge at the request of all the parties concerned agree to hear it.
Any application for an urgent hearing during the vacation, may be made by summons in chamber, before the vacation judge or the judge before who the substantive case is pending.
Th new legal year begins 14th September 2020 while the Legal Year Services holds on Monday, 21st September, 2020
