President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of 28 Judicial Officers for the Court of Appeal, Federal High Court and the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory on the recommendation of the National Judicial Council. Mrs. Adefunmilola Adekemi Demi-Ajayi, Mobolaji Olubukola Olajuwon and Modupe Osho-Adebiyi, three Magistrates of the Lagos State High were elevated to the Federal High Court and FCT High Court.

The Justices of the Court of Appeal will be sworn-in by the Chief Justice of Nigeria and Chairman, National Judicial Council, Walter Onnoghen, on June 22 by 10.00 am. while the Federal High Court Judges will be sworn-in on June 25 at 2.00 pm. The Judges appointed for the High Court of the FCT are to be sworn-in on June 26 by 2.00 p.m. at the Main Hall of the Courtroom of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
