Olukayode Ogunjobi was born on the 9th of September 1959 in  Agege, Lagos.  He had his primary school at Sacred Cherubim & Seraphim Primary School (Shiloh) Agege and attended both Anglican Grammar School, Iludun Oro and Lisabi Grammar School, Abeokuta, Ogun State   for his scondary school. He obtained his Lower Sixth Form from Igbobi College, Yaba, Lagos State. And proceeded to University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) Ile Ife, Osun State for his university education. He graduated with a LLB in 1986 and was called to Bar in 1987 after his Law School.

Kayode as he is fondly called started his legal career in the law firm of Bola Akinyele & Co and in 1991 he set up his firm of kayode Ogunjobi and Co. He has been in active legal practice since his call to bar and has gained over 30 years experience in litigation and advocacy. He has consistently appeared in all superior courts of record in Nigeria and has vast experience in diverse areas of the law with special bias in litigation and alternative dispute resolution, Corporate/commercial practice, Admiralty/Maritime Law, Intellectual Property, Family Law and Probate, Insurance, Land Law and Labour and Employment. He is an effective mediator, conflict-resolver and inter-personal communicator.

He has represented multinational companies both in litigation and corporate legal practice He is Consultant to Lagos State University, Ojo, Lagos on Access to Justice Project funded by Department of International Development, United Nations.

Kayode was an Associate Editor, Law & Educational Publishers Limited, Aba, Abia State. He was a Member of the Editorial Team for the publication of “The Encyclopedia of the Laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria” 44 Volumes. He was also part of the editors of the High Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court judgments in all areas of the law.

He is an active member of the Nigerian Bar Association, member of International Bar Association, member, director, Civic Forum Initiative (CFI) CFI a Non Government Organisation that is concerned with civic education. And member, Executive Committee, Environmental Law Research Institute (ELRI).

Olukayode was recently appointed a judge of the Lagos State High Court.

He is married and blessed with three children among whom is a lawyer.
