Honourable Justice A.I Chikere of the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has adjourned the  suit filed by Mr. Oladele Olubakin against NBA  to 22nd May, 2018 for definite hearing.

The suit which came up yesterday 26th April was listed for mention.

Counsel for the Plaintiff  informed the Honourable Court that NBA had been served with the court processes since over 40 days and are yet to file their response. He urged the court to give a date for definite hearing of the suit.

Responding, counsel to NBA confirmed receipt of the processes and apologized for their failure to file their statement of defence within time. He also informed the court that they have filed their memorandum of appearance and would definitely file their defence before the next adjourned date.

The court chided the NBA and directed that they should be diligent in prosecuting the matter. While adjourning the case, Justice Chikere told Mr. Olubakin to prepare himself for examination at the next date.

The case was then adjourned to 22nd May, 2018.

It is expected that the NBA would have filed its papers in court before the adjourned date.

It would be recalled that Mr. Olubakin filed the suit against the NBA for alleged theft of his intellectual property wherein he is claiming over N500 million in damages.
