Delta State CJ Inaugurates Monitoring Committee of the Lower Courts

The Chief Judge of Delta State, Honourable Justice Marshal Umukoro, has inaugurated a five member committee to monitor the activities of staff of the lower courts in the State.

The inauguration is sequel to the directive of the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Walter Samuel N. Onnoghen to all heads of courts

The committee shall monitor and check laxity, truancy, indiscipline, unscrupulous staff and report unwholesome practices to the office of the Chief Judge every three weeks.

Accordingly, Litigants, Legal Practitioners, the public, including staff of the various courts by this announcement advised to lodge complaints of observed indiscipline of whatever form and unwholesome practices to the Public Complaints and Public Information Desk in the office of the Honourable Chief Judge through the following contact:

Stakeholders and the general public are assured that complaints shall be attended to within 48 hours.

The attention of the Chief Registrar of the High Court Asaba should be drawn to any compliant not treated within 48 hours and the Registrar shall bring same to the attention of the Honourable Chief Judge.
