Professor Taiwo Adetayo Ibitola Osipitan holds an LL.B (Hons) Degree of the University of Lagos and BL from the Nigerian Law School where he distinguished himself by winning the Justice Somolu Memorial Prize for the best Student in Civil Procedure. He is also a graduate of the London School of Economics and Political Science where he specialized in Marine and General Insurance, Carriage of goods by Sea, Secured Credit Transaction, Taxation Law and Civil Litigation. He also holds the LL.M Degree of the University of London.
Prof. Osipitan joined the Faculty of Law University of Lagos in January, 1983 as a Lecturer II and progressively rose to the position of Professor of Public Law University of Lagos in 1997. He was conferred with the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria in 2002 and has recently been conferred with the Academic distinguished Professor’s award by University of Lagos.
