The House of Representatives Committee on Justice and Judiciary has notified members of the public on the rescheduling of its pre-scheduled public hearing on the Amasa Firdaus controversy.

Below is the statement:

Further to our publication on the above title on Monday 22 January, 2018 we regret to inform all stakeholders and Members of the General Public that the public hearing slated for 6th February has been POSTPONED.

The postponement is necessitated by the fact that the committee is awaiting considered input from critical stakeholders which is likely to have direct bearing on the committees consideration. Accordingly, it has been decided to postpone the hearing. A new date will be communicated shortly.

House of Representatives through this committee, hereby assures all concerned that it is strongly committed to ensuring a resolution to this matter.

The Committee sincerely apologises for any inconveniences caused.
