Edo State Judicial Service Commission Commences Exercise to Appoint Judges

The Edo State Judicial Service Commission has announced for the information of the general public the commencement of exercise to appoint 2(two) additional High Court Judges in Edo State.

The Edo State JSC calls for expression of interest from suitable candidates for consideration. All prospective candidates applying should of necessity attach copies of Curriculum Vitae and credentials to their applications. for the avoidance of doubt, the following are the first basic qualifications a prospective candidate must possess:

(i) Active successful practice at the Bar including satisfactory presentation of cases in court as a legal practitioner either in private practice or as a legal officer in any public service and must have been called to the Nigerian Bar for not less that 10 years. This is in addition to evidence of 6 contested cases in the last 5 years of judgment obtained in any superior court of record. or

(ii) Satisfactory and consistent display of sound and mature judgment in the office as a Chief Registrar or Chief Magistrate/Area Court President Gd. I; or

(iii) Credible records of teaching law, legal research in a reputable University and publication of Legal works.
