Foremost Law Teacher, eminent Bar man and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Prof Ernest Ojukwu, SAN felicitates with Muslim faithfuls all over the world and in particular Nigerian Lawyers on the occasion of this year’s Eid-El-Kabir celebrations.
Prof Ojukwu more commonly addressed as Teacher notes that the Eid-El-Kabir festival is a celebration of the piety and selfless sacrifice demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim who evinced a willingness to sacrifice his son in total submission to the will of the Almighty Allah. With this year’s celebrations coinciding with a time when the Federal Government has upped it’s campaign against hate speech and other divisive actions capable of threatening the country’s unity, Prof Ojukwu urges Nigerian Lawyers to see themselves, and indeed act, as vanguards and advocates for the country’s continued peaceful coexistence and demonstrate same through acts of sacrifice and peace.
Teacher urges everyone to continue to pray for peace, unity and progress in the country and also wishes everyone happy holidays.
