The much awaited NBA conference today entered the second day with the Jumat service held at the Lagos Central Mosque, Tinubu Square, Lagos.
In his sermon, the Imam enjoined lawyers to live up to the expectation of their callings. He reminded lawyers that the hallmark of the legal profession is justice delivery. He encouraged them to join hands with government to ensure that Nigeria enjoys sustainable growth.
At the end of the two rakah prayer, the Baba Adinni of Lagos, Alhaji Afeez Abou prayed for all lawyers seeking God’s divine protection.
In his good will message, the President of the NBA, A.B Mahmoud, SAN, thanked the Imam, the Baba Adinni of Lagos and other Islamic Clerics who were present for the prayers and sermons. The President also congratulated all confrees for a successful commencement of the 2017 NBA Annual General Conference.
The Jumat service was well attended by Legal Luminaries, part of whom are the National Legal Adviser of the APC Dr. Muiz Banire, SAN, the former Solicitor General of Lagos State, Mr. Lawal Pedro, SAN, the Former Chairman of Ilorin Bar, Mr. Mobolaji Ojibara, former Chairman of Ikorodu Bar, Mr. Nurudeen Ogbara, Chairman Ikeja Bar, Mr. Adesina Ogunlana amongst others.
The NBA Conference would continue in the following days and end on Thursday 24th August, 2017 with a Presidential Bar Dinner.
