Aminat Yusuf, a law student of Faculty of Law, Lagos State University (Ojo), has become the first Student of Lagos State University, to get a perfect cumulative grade point average (CGP) of 5.0.(First Class Hons.)
Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, LASU Vice Chancellor, disclosed this, during a press briefing ahead of the 26th convocation of the institution, scheduled to take place on June 21.
The VC added that Yusuf, will get a cash prize of N500,000 for her stellar academic record.
She also said Feyisayo Lopez, a graduate of physiology, topped the 2021/2022 academic session, with 4.91 CGPA.
The VC further said, “with total of 282 first class graduating students in the two academic sessions, the university is, therefore, graduating her highest number of first class in her 40 years’ history.”
“The breakdown of the first class graduates are as follows: 2020/2021 academic session, 148 graduates; 2021/2022 academic session, 128 graduates; and sandwich (2022 Modular Year), six graduates.
