Dentons ACAS-Law Appoints Taiwo Afonja as Managing Partner

Dentons ACAS-Law has annoounced the appointment of Taiwo Afonja as the new Managing Partner of the firm.

According to a statement by the Law firm, Afonja replaces Felicia Kemi Segun, “who is stepping down from the position and is passing on the baton after 5 years of successfully leading the firm”.

Afonja is ranked as a Highly Regarded Lawyer in the Project Development practice area (IFLR1000 2022). She has over 27 years of legal practice experience 25 of which have been with Dentons ACAS-Law where she started as an Associate. She specializes in energy and natural resources and has a proven track record of representing both multi-national and national clients in a variety of transactions, including licensing, acquisitions, divestments, farm-in transactions, strategic alliances, and financing in the Nigerian oil and gas industry. She is also well-versed in the structuring, negotiation, and documentation of transactions and related financing in domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions in the oil and gas, mining, and power sectors.
