Mr. Bisi Makanjuola has emerged the new Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Lagos Branch in the just concluded branch election.
With a total of 720 votes, representing 43.3% of the votes cast, he defeated his close rival Olomayowa A. Owolabi with 684 votes representing 41.3% of the vote caste. Adebola Lema scored 258 votes, representing 15.5% votes.
Esther Ifeoma Jimoh won the post of Vice Chairman with 1107 votes to beat her rival, Adefowoke AyoPonle who polled 522 votes.
Mr. Emuobonuvie Majemite, won the Secretary with 889 votes to beat Mr. Kelechukwu Uzoka who polled 754 votes.
Oyindamola Chinelo Fasakin is the Social Secretary with 895 votes defeating Mr. Dickson Obairi who polled 732 votes. Mr. Omoniyi Onabule beat his opponent Bayo Olusanya with 823 votes to emerge as the next Publicity Secretary of the branch while Olusanya polled 770 votes.
Other candidates were returned unopposed.
