Mr. Iboroma Akpana, the founding partner of Solola & Akpana has been appointed the Chairman of the Board of the Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company (PHED) following its recent restructuring.
Iboroma is admitted to practice law in Nigeria, New York State and England & Wales. He holds an LLM from Harvard Law School. His practice area is primarily on project finance, construction, infrastructure, oil and gas, investment and divestment, mergers and acquisitions, and regulatory compliance.
The PHED is a private electric distributor that provides power to 4 states of Nigeria including Rivers, Bayelsa, Cross River and Akwa Ibom. It first operated as a government-owned enterprise before being privatized.
Announcing the appointment, the management of the firm wrote: We are pleased to announce that our founding partner, Mr. Iboroma Akpana, has been appointed the Chairman of the Board of the Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company
