The ongoing inauguration of the Nigerian Law School, Port Harcourt campus, has been temporarily suspended following a downpour on Friday.

The state-of-the-art facility located on a wide expanse of land at the Rumueme axis of Mile 4 in Obio/Akpor local government area started by the Governor Nyesom Wike-led administration was completed in ten months.

While the programme which commenced at past 12pm was reaching its high point, the weather changed.

Minutes later, it started raining cats and dogs, forcing Wike and the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, who is to inaugurate the project, running for cover.

The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd), was billed to inaugurate the project known as the Dr. Nabo Graham Douglas of the Nigerian Law School.

However, Governor Wike had safely led his special guest and other dignitaries into the auditorium of the law school campus.

The programme is expected to continue in the main hall.
