The Nigerian Bar Association Executives have suspended the General Secretary of the Association, Joyce Oduah.
According to a report by City Lawyer, the suspension is “with immediate effect” .
An unimpeachable source stated that the National Officers unanimously resolved to suspend Oduah and appoint Ms. Uche Nwadialo as Acting Genral Secretary.
It was gathered that NBA President, Mr. Olumide Akpata recused himself from the meeting while Oduah validated all the statements credited to her by social media. She subsequently exited the virtual meeting held this morning by the NBA-NEC.
The source further stated that the Excos reasoned that it would be inappropriate for Oduah to continue in her position, especially as preparations for the NBA AGM and NEC Meetings are in top gear, “and moreso as these are transition NEC and AGM Meetings.”
