The swearing in of the newly appointed Justices of the Court of Appeal earlier scheduled to hold on Thursday, 29th April, 2021 has been postponed indefinitely due to the ongoing strike by the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN).

The Chief Justice of Nigeria, Tanko Muhammad was scheduled to inaugurate the elevated judicial officers at the Supreme Court Complex in Abuja.

According to reliable source, the swearing in will come up on a later date yet to be announced.

JUSUN’S strike commenced on April 6 to press home the demand for financial autonomy of the judiciary.
