Trial in the charges filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) against the immediate past President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Mr. Paul Usoro SAN was stalled today by the absence of the Prosecution’s second witness (PW2).

The Prosecuting Counsel Mr. K.E Uduak informed the court that the witness, who was scheduled to come to Lagos from Kano on Tuesday had a delayed flight and could not make it to Lagos before today’s proceedings. Confirming the witness’ availability for the next date, Mr. Uduak asked the Honourable Court to adjourn the suit to the next adjourned date; 18th February, 2021. The Defence team led by Chief Offiong, Offiong SAN did not object to the request for adjournment.

The case has now been adjourned to the 18th and 19th of February, 2021 for continuation of trial.
