Federal High Court Scraps Charges on Monetary Claims, Default Fees on FHR Applications

The Federal High Court has abolished all charges on monetary claims and default fee in respect of Fundamental Human Rights applications.

The abolishment was announced in a circular dated February 12, 2021 issued by the court’s ACR [Litigation], Jane Egbo Esq.

The circular reads:

‘I have been directed by the Hon. Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, Hon. Justice J.T. Tsoho to inform you that henceforth, monetary claims and default fee in respect of Fundamental Human Rights applications should no longer be charged’
