Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested 39 suspected internet fraudsters, also known as Yahoo boys.
Ten of the suspects were arrested at Ilesha, Osun State, while 29 were apprehended in various locations at Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State.
The suspects were arrested after surveillance based on intelligence on their alleged criminal activities.
Items recovered from them included seven cars, laptop computers, mobile phones, and several documents containing false presences.
“They will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded”, a statement from the EFCC head, media and publicity, Mr Wilson Uwujaren said.
