BOSAN Mourns the Demise of Two Senior Advocates; Chief Eghobamien and Sir Badejo

The Body of Senior Advocates of Nigeria (BOSAN) and indeed the legal profession on Friday lost two Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SANs), Chief (Sir) Alfred Oghogho Eghobamien and Sir Jadegoke Adebonajo Badejo.

Eghobamien was born on June 5, 1935 (85 years). He is the father of Mr Osaro Eghobamien SAN.

Sir Eghobamien was called to the English Bar and the Nigerian Bar in the years 1972 and 1973 respectively. He was conferred with the rank of SAN in 1995.

Badejo, the Principal Partner of Bonajo Badejo & Co, died as he was walking out of his home. He was was born on the 6th of March, 1959 (61 years).

A source said he was fully dressed and getting ready to leave home for work when he slumped and passed on.

Badejo was called to the Bar in 1980 and took on the silk in 2009.

Meanwhile the body of Senior Advocates of Nigeria has a separate statement issued by the Secretary to BOSAN, Seyi Sowemimo, SAN condoled with the families of the deceased.

“We deeply mourn the sad loss of Chief Eghobamien and pray that the Almighty God grants his family the strength and courage to bear the irreparable loss.

Further information on the funeral arrangements as released by his family will be announced in due course.”

“Sir Jadegoke Badejo has acted as Legal Consultant and Company Secretary to many blue chip companies and orthodox religious bodies in Nigeria.

We deeply mourn the sad demise of our colleague and we pray that the Almighty God grants his family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

Funeral arrangements as released by his family will be announced in due course.”
