Learned Counsel…
The wig atop your head is unkempt.
This wig is unkempt.
It carries with it a sickening contagion
This wig is unkempt.
What will the laity think of your profession?
This wig is unkempt.
Or the newbies strolling in in procession?
This wig is so unkempt.

Learned Counsel…
The wig atop your head is shabby
This wig is shabby.
It is dirty, dusty, rusty and musty
This wig is shabby.
An unfit sight that evokes a holy moly
This wig is shabby.
May your close observers not call it folly
This wig is so shabby.

Learned Counsel…
The wig atop your head is tattered
This wig is tattered.
It is crumbling, stumbling and scattered
This wig is tattered.
Should we call this your own wear and tear?
This wig is tattered.
Or merely some indifference you elect to rear?
This wig is so tattered.

Learned Counsel, I urge you to know
Wearing it tattered is too bad a show
Let the old act their age with decency
That the newbies may trail with piquancy.
What symbolizes
Your longevity at the bar
Should not be the shabbiness of your wigs.
What symbolizes
Your longevity at the bar
Should be all-round professionalism you emit.
