Dear Young Lawyer,
We are happy to inform you that as part of its mentoring programme for Young Lawyers in 2018, you are hereby invited by the Nigerian Bar Association – Section on Business Law (NBA-SBL) to apply for participation in the Annual Business Law Conference 2018, as well as a young lawyers’ training hosted and organised by the International Bar Association (IBA)
The Annual Business Law Conference 2018 is an international conference which will cover inter country relations ranging from finance, movement of labour, dispute resolution etc., and it holds from the 27th – 29th June 2018 at Transcorp Hilton, Abuja.
The Young Lawyers Training is titled “Fundamentals of International Legal Business Practice” and will cover areas of cross border M & A transactions and arbitration as regards international trade as well as discussions on soft skills required of young lawyers in the ever-evolving practice of law. This training will hold on the 26th of June, 2018at the Transcorp Hilton, Abuja.
To apply for the scholarship, you are required to send a confirmation with the following attachments:
– A cover email stating why you should be awarded the scholarship to attend the above programme (No more than 180 words); and
– One page CV (clearly stating your year of call and locality of your NBA branch).

This scholarship is open to only Young Lawyers with 1 – 7 post call experience level. Only Successful Applicants will be contacted by June 15th at the latest with further details of participation, however, please note that sponsorship covers only registration for the Conference and training as well as accommodation for those residing out of Abuja ONLY. Participants would be expected to handle their transportation to Abuja whilst transportation to and fro venue centers will be handled by the NBA-SBL.
