Lawyers under the aegis of Concerned NBA Members are calling on the Attorney General of the Federation to convene a meeting of the General Council of thee bar by virtue of the provision of Section 6 (2) of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) 2015 Constitution.
In a letter signed by three of the Concerned members, they noted that the having failed to conduct a successful election within the time stipulated in Article 2(3)(a) of the 2nd Schedule to the NBA Constitution and having extended the election period beyond the stipulated period without convening a NEC to ratify the time and place of the election, the present NBA administration has violated the provisions of the constitution.
The concerned members asked for the intervention of the General Council of the Bar to save the NBA from leadership crisis noting that the election is presently being organized without the lawful authority.
