The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Warri Branch has threatened to sue the Electoral Committee of the NBA (ECNBA) in the event that it fails to verify all its members who are eligible to vote in the forthcoming NBA National Election.
The threat is coming on the heels of wide spread complaint over the failure of the IT providers to verify members of the Bar who are eligible to vote in the election.
The letter signed by the Chairman of the Branch Mr. Michael A. Asugo indicated that less than 5% of its were successfully verified. He lamented the frustration and anger faced by members of the branch and stated that should any of the eligible voters be disenfranchised, the branch would file an action for redress.
