Mr. J.B Daudu SAN has bowed out as the chairman of the Legal Practitioners Disciplinary Committee.

The new Chairman, legal Practitioners Disciplinary Committee, LPDC Mr. Emmanuel Ukala, SAN used the quote above from William Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night” to infuse into the Valedictory Session held on September 10, 2018 in honor of his predecessor, Hon Joseph Bodurin Daudu, SAN.
The event took place at the LPDC court hall in Court of Appeal headquarters, Abuja.
By dint of his hard work and dedication, J. B. Daudu SAN rose meteorically to become the first graduate of the Nigerian Law School in 1980, to be adorned with the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria. He was the youngest at that time. B. Daudu SAN worked relentlessly for the legal profession. He was elected NBA President in 2010, after the end of that tenure, he was appointed chairman of the LPDC in 2013.
He is also a life bencher as well as Chairman, Council of the African Bar Association.
Under his chairmanship, a total of 141 cases were attended to, 119 of these cases were disposed off while 22 are pending.
Out of the 119 cases disposed off, the Respondents in 52 of the cases were found not liable, Respondents in 34 of the cases were found guilty of professional misconduct and disbarred. 22 other respondents were suspended for periods ranging between 1 year to 5 years. 2 applicants had their names restored on the roll of legal Practitioners within the interval.
J B. Daudu SAN introduced a law Report for the LPDC Directions and Rulings.
