Computation of “Post-Call” Years: Lagos Lawyer Seeks Court’s Intervention

Lagos Lawyer and public interest litigator Mr. Olumide Babalola has filed an action before the Federal High Court seeking the court’s interpretation of  section 8(3) of the Legal Practitioners Act and Legal Practitioners (Bar Practicing Fees) Notice vis a vis the phrase – “Post Call”.

This according to the Plaintiff is to obtain court’s pronouncement and enable a conclusive resolution of the perennial controversy surrounding computation of post-call years especially for the payment of Bar practicing fees.

Olumide Babalola sued the Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in the Suit with No. FHC/ABJ/CS/925/2018.

Details of the prayers sought in the suit would be published in due course. Meanwhile the suit has not been assigned to a judge.
