MY FIRST EXPERIENCE
After years of dreaming of becoming a lawyer, wearing the wig and gown and appearing in court, today God made it possible, I am not only a lawyer but now a member of the Nigeria Bar Association. I’m really excited about it. So where are my fellow first-timers? The NBA AGC will serve as an avenue for me to unite with others with same enthusiasm of joining the NBA freshly.
NEW INFORMATION AND KNOWLEDGE UPGRADE
With the new trend in online law reports such as law pavilion, legal pedia, law digest etc, there is always new information or knowledge out there that we must always keep up with as a matter of necessity. NBA promise to give out Tab equipped with law pavilion which will provide me with an opportunity to update myself on new information, knowledge and skills that will help me become a better lawyer, irrespective of whatever area of practice I found myself.
MEETING UP WITH OLD FRIENDS AND COLLEAGUES
There are some of my classmates that I’ve not set eyes on since we left school, and I would be looking forward to reconnecting with them. It would be a time to go back memory lane and relish school days experiences.
LIBRARY UPDATE
I heard there are always a wide array of law books and materials to buy during the conference. I already have a budget for the books I would be buying.
RULES OF PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT
NBA AGC will serve as an opportunity for me to see the provisions of the rules of Professional Conduct manifesting through the Continuing Professional Development qualification and certification.
