Mr. Mobolaji Ojibara has congratulated all Nigerian Lawyers on the successful commencement of the new legal year 2017/2018. He also sent his heartfelt felicitation to the newly sworn in Senior Advocates of Nigeria, urging them to use their privilege to groom young lawyers.

Mobolaji who was in Abuja earlier to witness the swearing in ceremony of the new silks wrote:

Beginning of 2017/2018 Legal Year and Conferment of the rank of Senior Advocates of Nigeria.

This is welcoming all distinguished colleagues and Judicial Officers across the country to New Legal Year 2017/2018. I pray that this Legal Year brings renewed courage to triumph.

I extend my sincere congratulations to the new Senior Advocates of Nigeria on this occasion of the conferment of the distinguished rank. Be reminded, sirs, that you have been conferred with a privilege which puts you in an onerous position, both morally and professionally.

Your sound command of the practice and ethics of the profession undoubtedly earned you the silk. Consequently, as a leader, one crucial responsibility, which the confernment of the rank places on you is that of pupillage. It, therefore, behoves on all Senior Advocates to groom the young lawyers well, not only in the practice of law but also in the ethics of the legal profession.
