The NBA Lagos Branch Election is scheduled to hold on Thursday, 29th June, 2017. Three aspirants have so far indicated interest to contest the position of the Chairmanship of the Branch. They are Mr. Chukwuma Ezeala, Mr. Chukwuka Ikwuazom and Mr.John Duru.
We are profiling the contestants in no particular order:
Mr. Chukwuka Ikwuazom
Chukwuka Ikwuazom is partner in the Disputes practice and head Taxation practice of Aluko & Oyebode.
He graduated from the University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus and had his LLM from Columbia University, New York, where he received the Harlan Fiske Stone Prize (for academic excellence) and the Judith R. and Michael E. Thoyer scholarship (for LL.M. students with outstanding academic credentials).He is admitted to both the Nigerian and New York State Bars.
He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria and a member of its Indirect Tax Faculty.
Member Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Petroleum Industry Bill Review Committee set up by the immediate past President of the NBA.
Vice Chairman of the NBA Section on Business Law’s Committee on Employment and Industrial Relations.
Member of the Court of Arbitration of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce International Arbitration Centre (LACIAC).
Chairman of the Committee on Oil & Gas Conference NBA Lagos Branch.
