President of the Nigerian Bar, Mr. A.B Mahmoud SAN has indicated that the Nigerian Bar Association would be addressing the issue of the Muslim Lady Amasa Firdaus who was barred from being called to bar on Wednesday for insisting that it is within her constitutional right to wear Hijab under her wig and gown as a Muslim.
In a tweet few minutes ago while celebrating a UK based Nigerian Lady who was honoured for promoting diversity in the legal profession. The President assured that the NBA will embrace diversity and tolerance in the Nigerian legal profession while assuring that the Hijab issue will be addressed.
He wrote:
