The Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee is calling on interested persons to submit application for the award of the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria. In a notice
Signed by Hadizatu Uwani Mustapha, Eqs, Chief Registrar of Supreme Court,/ Secretary of the Legal Practitioner’s Privileges Committee, the requirements for intending applicants are set out to include the following:
- In line with the combined provisions of paragraph 9 of the Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee Guidelines, 2017 and Section 5 of the Legal Practitioners’ Act (Laws of the Federation of Nigeria) 2004 as amended; interested Applicants are hereby notified that application forms for the award of the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria for the year 2018 are now on sale.
- All interested Applicants are required to take the following steps/options:
(i) Make payment of a non-refundable processing fee of the sum of Six Hundred Thousand Nair (N600,000.00) only; at any branch nationwide of Zenith Bank Plc and make payment through (Account Name: Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee SAN), Account Number. 1014103141 or at any branch nationwide of Guaranty Trust Bank Plc Account No: 0213662834„ Sort code: 058083231.
(ii) Upon conclusion of bank payment. Applicant should proceed onward with the evidence of payment/original bank teller to obtain an application from at the office of the Chief Registrar, Supreme Court of Nigeria„ Supreme Court complex, Three Arms Zone, Abuja
(iii) In the alternative, an interested Applicant may use the multi-channel online process from the 15′ of November, 2017 with the following summarized procedure:-
a. Payee/Applicant should visit www.lppc.gov.ng;
b. Click on payment through Interswitch process;
c. Use payment card to conclude payment and
d. Access the form and print it out for onward processing.
3 Instructions to Applicants:
(i) It is mandatory that completed application form along with other supporting documents (bound together) are submitted at the Secretariat of the Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee, Supreme Court of Nigeria Complex, Abuja, Ground Floor, on or before the 31st day of January, 2018.
- ii) Please note that submission after the said deadline will be treated as non-submission
