Justice Babatunde , OFR, President, National Industrial Court of Nigeria; Mr. Anthony Abrahams, Director General Institute of Arbitrators London and many other important dignitaries were among notable personalities present at the 2017 BIANNUAL AFRICAN ARBITRATION ROUNDTABLE organised by the Centre for Arbitration and Mediation Abuja (ICAMA) held at Transcorp Hilton Abuja under the chairmanship of Chief Bayo Ojo, SAN CON C.Arb.
The RoundTable is focused on the theme “Growing and Sustaining Domestic Arbitration and ADR in Africa”. This is apt in view of the great effort in pushing the frontiers of Arbitration and ADR across the African continent and the growing awareness, interest and enthusiasm of the public about the role of Arbitration in boosting the economy of Africa.
In his goodwill message, His lordship, Hon. Justice Babatunde Adejumo OFR stressed the importance of Alternative Dispute Resolution ,ADR, Mechanism in settling dispute for maintaining peace and industrial harmony in order to promote ease of doing business in Africa.
Hon. Attorney General of the federation and Minister of Justice, Hon. Abubakar Malami SAN, reiterates the Federal Government’s support to strengthen ICAMA centre in order to meet up with the international best practices.
