Arik Air has refunded the sum of N160, 000.00 (One Hundred and Sixty Thousand Naira Only) being the total paid as air fare by four (4) young lawyers for the 2017 NBA Conference.
We reported earlier that the young lawyers; Bashir Shuiabu, Hauwa Gunda, Musa Tijani, and Aisha Aliyu Abba who wanted to take advantage of the Arik Air-NBA collaboration to pay a subsidized rate by young lawyers attending the conference paid N40,000 each to Arik but they failed to airlift the young lawyers and refused to refund the money despite repeated demand.
The young lawyers engaged the Firm of Jibrin Gunda & Co who issued the formal demand notice for the refund and also threatened court action.
According to our source, the money was immediately paid into the account stated on the letter of demand.
